Join us Saturday February 1 at Jaycee Park for fun and fitness, while saving lives across the globe!
You will be running, or walking 3.1 miles, while women in Kenya walk 7 kilometers each day to carry huge barrels of muddy water for their families for bathing, cooking, and drinking. Children are not named until the age of 2 because most of them die as a result of water borne illness!
You can make a difference! Your $25 race entry fee pays for more than half of a $40 water filtration system that is shared by 2-3 households and saves lives for generations to come. Last year the money YOU raised by showing up for this event has transformed the lives of 100 families for generations to come! Already there are less visits to the clinic for water borne illnesses!
Coffee will once again be provided by Ends of the Earth Cycling. And, of course bottled water. And bagels, courtesy of The Bagel factory, bananas, oranges, etc. Shirts guaranteed to the first 200 runners. Shirt size requested guaranteed if you register by January 17th, 2020.
The race begins and ends at Jaycee Park, at the end of Beach Parkway in Cape Coral, alongside the Caloosahatchee River.
Pick up packet the Friday prior to the race (1/31/2019) during normal business hours at The Run Shoppe, 1497 Cape Coral Pkwy E, Cape Coral 33904.
Overall awards (which are really awesome and light up) will be provided as well as gold, silver, and bronze medals to males and females 3 deep, in the following age groups:
10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 and up.
One deep in Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Grand Masters.
And, to make it even more fun, this year, we are raffling off gift baskets! So far, we have a breakfast basket (with items from Starbucks, First Watch, and Skillets), and a beauty basket from Heads or Nails Salon.
“Day of” registration is $30 and is from 6:30am-7:15am. Race begins promptly at 7:30am.
